Early Life
Charbel Alasmar (known as Charbel Moreno) was born in Beirut, Lebanon. His father, Saab, a nurse at the military hospital in Beirut, died in October 1975 during the Lebanese civil war (1975-1990), leaving behind a 47-year-old widow and five homeless minor children. His mother, Hélène, devoted her entire life to her children.
His family was relocated to a refugee site, while Charbel Moreno and one of his brothers were placed in an orphanage run by French nuns and priests, les Filles de la Charité de Saint-Joseph et les Pères lazaristes de Saint Vincent de Paul, from the age of 8 to 17. It was there where he received the education that shaped his personality.
Charbel Moreno studied music and piano at Les  Frères Capucins de St François d'Assise, in Lebanon. He worked part-time at Ethnics Recording Studio in Beirut as an Assistant Sound Engineer and Music Arranger.
